Studio in my home, Kimpton Hitchin

Discover the joy of giving your clothes a second life in a relaxed and supportive environment. I’m excited to offer free sewing workshops for anyone who wants to learn simple alterations and repairs — from sewing on buttons and shortening hems to making minor adjustments to dresses, shirts, or skirts.

The workshop is designed for complete beginners and those who have always wanted to learn these essential skills. My goal is to create a warm, friendly space where you feel confident to try, learn, and practice — and take these skills home to care for your wardrobe sustainably.

We will work in small groups of 2–3 participants, with 1.5-hour sessions. Each session includes a simple program with practical exercises on basic clothing repairs, allowing you to gain hands-on experience and the confidence to mend your clothes on your own.

This workshop is inspired by tradition — our grandparents knew these skills, and we want to preserve this craft while promoting a sustainable approach to fashion, helping clothes last longer and reducing unnecessary waste.

Whether you want to save your favourite garments, help the environment, or simply enjoy learning a new, practical skill, this workshop is for you.
